Y Soft Mobile Connect ID credentials: now delivered digitally

Y Soft Connect ID digital delivery release: partners receive a code with a batch of credentials to be uploaded either to SAFEQ6 or SAFEQ Cloud; users receive a link by email and register their device in a few steps. No printed QR codes, no need to know your user count upfront.

Free Y Soft Mobile Authentication is coming soon!

We've begun work on a full Y Soft mobile authentication solution, free for all SAFEQ Cloud users and at printers fitted with MFX4 readers. We're targeting a release later this year, with more details to follow.

Streamlined configuration for e-wallets and third-party mobile apps with MFX4 readers

With growing interest in e-wallet and third-party mobile app support, here's what we need to evaluate and build a custom reader configuration for each case. To begin the process, you need to reach out to your Y Soft representative. They will further reach out to R\&D to create a custom configuration file for you. Given below are the details that Y Soft will require from your end to process your request.

Before submitting a request involving mobile authentication and integration with Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, or a third-party mobile app, please gather (for both Apple and Google, where applicable):

  • DESFire Application ID
  • Key ID, authentication keys, and whether key diversification is used, including the method
  • File IDs
  • Details on how the card number is encoded within the file
  • TCI value (Apple)
  • DF name (Google)
  • Successful terminator commands, e.g. LCI, CommitTransaction, Select App 0

Having this information ready when you submit a request will help us evaluate and turn around custom configurations faster.

Improved Paxton key fob reading performance

  • Reading distance is now about 6 centimetres
  • This improvement will be included in an upcoming firmware release. We don't have a release date yet, but we will share one as soon as it's confirmed

Terminal Pro 4.5 is MFX4 ready

Starting today, Terminal Pro 4.5 will be fully compatible with MFX4 readers, giving customers a simple way to add MFX4 authentication to their Terminal Pro setup.

  • Every Terminal Pro 4.5 purchased from September 1 will include the dedicated MFX4 cable and holder, so the device is ready for MFX4 integration out of the box
  • The MFX4 reader itself is sold separately so customers can pick whichever reader fits their setup, with the cable and mount already included.

If you have any questions about the updates above or need additional information, please contact your Y Soft representative. We're happy to support you.
